In a nutshell: Because this is the only event designed exclusively and specifically for senior heads of talent management in major organisations. (It is not a ‘jack of all trades’ event open to anyone.)
n The content of the event is designed exclusively with you & your peer group in mind. This makes sure the content is as relevant to you as possible.
n The way we structure the event is designed exclusively with you & your peer group in mind. This means that the way you interact and learn is as effective as possible.
n The networking at the event and the door policy of who is allowed is designed exclusively with you & your peer group in mind. This maximises the chances of you meeting the right people.
How is the content designed specifically for your needs?
n The content is designed specifically to address the issues that face major organisations, with solutions appropriate to you. We don’t cover ideas that are nifty for companies of 200 people - but which have no relevance to you.
n Because we are able to assume a high level of competence we can spend more time getting deeper into more advanced issues.
n We cover not only what best practice is today (rear view mirror), but we look at the big strategic issues of tomorrow (forward view).
n You can tailor-make your own agenda during our user-defined content session, where you can choose from workshop and discussion pods pertinent to your own situation.
n There is at least as much combined knowledge from the delegates as there is from the speakers, so we design the event to help you learn from and benchmark with other delegates.
n We are also researching this RIGHT NOW. If you have ideas that you would like to see covered in the programme please contact nick_tyrrell@osneymedia.com.
How is the event structured specifically for your needs?
n Discussion, dialogue and deliberation: Talent 2010 is built to challenge you and your high level speakers through over 4 hours of roundtable discussion to make sure you get right under the skin of talent management and provoke answers to the key questions everyone is asking.
n Interaction: Talent 2010 utilises the latest interactive technology to submit your business-critical questions and comments to the floor anonymously and benefit from a 30 page detailed post-event report with a full summary of all the discussions to make sure you squeeze every last drop of value from the event
n Practical knowledge transfer: Talent 2010 has been designed to maximise your learning and allow you to hear from and discuss with organisations renowned for being at the cutting edge of best practice
Who will you meet at the event?
In a nutshell: Only genuine heads of talent management with a national, regional & global role.
Talent 2010 has two streams:
n The first stream is open exclusively to Global Heads of a talent management functions (including talent management; L&D; Leadership; Resourcing).
n The second stream is open exclusively to regional (e.g. EMEA) or national Heads of talent management
Our objective is quality not quantity, so we can’t promise you that there will be hundreds of people at the event, but we do promise that every one there will be a national, regional or global head of talent management.
So if this is your peer group, and you believe in the value of peer-2-peer learning with your peer group, then we’d love you to come and meet our community at the event, and we look forward to introducing you to some great people there.
How do I know that I will meet exactly the right people at the event?
In a nutshell: Because you can ask to see who else is coming before you book
OK, so the event will have senior people from big companies, but will they be the right people from the right companies?
We understand that for someone as senior as you a crucial part of the event is networking and using that networking for your peer-2-peer learning (benchmarking, sharing best practice etc.). And peer-2-peer learning is fantastically valuable if the peer group is spot on, but pretty much a waste of time if not.
The problem with most events is that you don’t know who the other delegates will be until you get there. So in effect you are buying blind on the crucial issue of who the other delegates are.
Not with us.
We are allowing people to reserve a place at the event prior to final commitment. This is for people who want to come to an event if their peer group is there, but not otherwise. Our experience is that 90% of the people on the reservation list will end up confirming participation, so the reservation list allows you to know who is going to be at the event before you confirm your place. No more buying blind
If you would like to find out who is currently on the reservation list please contact Nick Tyrrell on nick_tyrrell@osneymedia.com.
How will you help make sure I meet the 10 – 15 people that will be most useful to me?
In a nutshell: Because you tell us what your issues are and we introduce you to the people who can help
The answer to this in brief is don’t leave it to blind chance (i.e. who you happen to grab a biscuit with at the tea break).
Instead we ask you to fill in a profile before coming along that includes information on your company size, type of industry, your key challenges etc. We then use this information to create different seating plans over the two days. At the discussion times (built into the agenda) you are then with the people who can most help you and who you are most likely to want to invite into your personal network after the event.
We are also happy to seek out, find and introduce you to people you want to meet on the day that you won’t otherwise be sitting with.
